Вот, прошел митинг в Мюнхене. Никаких "противников" рядом не было. Правда перед митингом собиралась толпа арабов на Зендлингертор платц, с ихними лозунгами, но видимо гор. власти специально развели по разным адресам противоположные митинги. Народу было в три раза больше, чем во время войны в Ливане. Но все равно мало. Зато было много и немцев, и даже монахини пришли, и стояли с израильскими флажками. Самым лучшим образом выступил некий господин Chmiel. Не говоря уже о том, что у него прекрасная дикция, он говорил очень впечатляюще. Жаль, что я не взяла с собой диктофон. Но фотографии сделала. Вот не знаю, где бы их выложить. Все, и от евр. общины, и от христианской, говорили о том, что надо всем принять участие в распространении правильной информации о развитии событий, чтобы побороть те односторонние представления, что складываются от телевизионных информационных передач. Говорили и о том, что всякие собрания посвященные поминаниям Холокоста превратились в казенный ритуал. И что настоящим, прочувствованным и действенным напоминанием было бы наличие всеобщего протеста против террора Хамаса и запрета в этой стране, в этом городе, на наших улицах и на этой площади выступлений его сторонников с лозунгами, не только "смерть Израилю", но и смерть евреям". Этого Германия не должна терпеть сегодня. Христианский оратор призвал всех объединяться над религиями и нациями для информационной борьбы с сегодняшними исламскими нацистами. И особенной активности ожидают от молодежи.

Only one word comes to mind as I read and watch this: UNBELIEVABLE.
Wow. In Germany. Wow.
I read this story at the excellent Gaza war-posting blog, "Muqata," and I was just able to dig up the vid on YouTube...It is obviously the same episode.
Actually, as we say in Court, the same "criminal episode." These German "cops" need to be immediately IDENTIFIED AND PROSECUTED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW. It should not be too difficult.
Unless it is against the law in Germany to hang an Israeli flag inside a private residence?

Today, 10.000 people demonstrated against Israel here in my hometown Duisburg (Germany) and to express their solidarity with Hamas. So, my girlfriend and me put two Israel flags out of the windows of our flat in the 3rd floor. During the demonstration which went through our street the police broke into our flat and removed the flag of Israel. The statement of the police was to de-escalate the situation, because many youth demonstrators were on the brink of breaking into our apartment house. Before this they threw snowballs, knifes and stones against our windows and the complete building. We both were standing on the other side of the street and were shocked by seeing a police officer standing in our bedroom and opening the window to get the flag. The picture illustrate this situation. The police acquiesced in the demands of the mob.
